Sit back now, here by the shore, I'll tell you my thoughts and nothing more
Take this with you when you walk away, don't trust anyone
The head of a family locked away, he's a spokesman for no one
Fading in, fading out, the king of reason pushing doubt
The man you're hearing talk to you is the man we're shutting out
I was in control until the others walked away
and then the war came
One fight for words between many voices
Now I'm left with only this one
Yeah, I hear them at the door
You may not want to be here anymore
Yeah I hear them mocking me
Taunting again and passing through my soul
Who is this passer by, with smiling eyes,
asking her treacherous questions
Devious succubus, transformation wanderer
please walk away!
You wanna know? You wanna know me?
I walk these lands amongst the spirits of war. Every war that was and will be. Witnessed only by curious tree tops dancing carefree in the western wind. For they, the smell of death breeds content whilst staring at the horizon for a thousand years. Where kings and queens roamed as children hunting the earth for their souls. And although they are gone, their memories live with me, forever.
Come to the earth goddess of rain. Can you spare some tears from me?
BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced...
